Introduction: Family Planning and Reproductive Health
This course is intended to provide learners with understanding of how gender affects health of women and men with emphasis on reproductive health. In addition, learners will be provided with knowledge and skills to enable them provide reproductive health services and immediate and effective care to pregnant women facing life threatening complications. 

Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course the students, will be able to:
  • Describe the principles and aims of RH. 
  • Describe the components of reproductive health
  • Explain the reproductive health indicators and policies governing RHS
  • Explain various obstetric emergencies and how to manage.
  • To enable learners, understand concepts in midwifery and assessment in pregnancy and labor
